Workspace access and Mac setup

Ube is currently provided through supported pilot workspaces. This page does not install a recorder or reset a passphrase.

How do I…?

Open your workspace

Ask the person who invited you to the Ube pilot for your organisation's workspace passphrase. One passphrase opens the meetings available to that organisation; the recorder-name filter inside the library does not create separate personal access.

If a passphrase stopped working, return to your pilot contact. Ube does not offer a self-service password reset yet.

Set up the supported Mac recorder

  1. Use the Ube recorder supplied directly by your pilot contact. There is no public installer linked from this site.
  2. Open Ube from the Mac menu bar and follow its capture checks.
  3. If prompted, allow Ube in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and Screen & System Audio Recording.
  4. Ask everyone for consent before you confirm consent and start recording.

Ube records through the Mac app. A phone or browser can read the resulting notes, search meeting titles, and ask across meetings, but it cannot start Mac system-audio capture. The supported pilot flow covers browser calls such as Google Meet or Zoom; it does not claim FaceTime capture.

Capture boundary

Use the recorder's own readiness checks for the microphone, system audio, and server. A meeting appearing in the browser does not by itself prove that every audio source is healthy. For capture trouble, keep the recorder open and share its exact status with your pilot contact.
